Hello! This week we continued learning about shapes and also began some measurement. The kids worked in groups to order their shoes by length. They learned pretty quickly that it was important to line each shoe up by the heel for accuracy.

We had a scavenger hunt around the room to see if we could find objects that were taller and shorter than a certain item.

In the meantime, during free play times, the kids were still really motivated to try all the shape challenges from last week!

These kiddos were using the straight edge to make pictures with shapes.

We tried to complete some increasingly hard pattern block puzzles and by the end of the week, we were working with some very tricky ones.

We also read lots of Thanksgiving books and sang some songs too! We are still working on a little surprise for you… it will be ready next week!

These two friends are two out of many kids who were able to figure out tough building challenges from last week! I love it when kids see the value in coming back to a task over and over until they experience success!

Today in the Kinder Kitchen we made two pumpkin pies! We read the ingredients and wrote the steps before beginning. Then we continued to refer to the ingredient list and the steps until the process was complete!

Thanks to everyone who contributed… it was a great learning experience!
