Our caterpillars are tucked in their chrysalises and we’re dreaming of butterflies!

We worked really hard crafting some special Mother’s Day surprises!

Most kindergartners love reading and learning about dinosaurs so on Tuesday we took advantage of that enthusiasm!
We read a dino decodable book together and did some centers including:
Dino number puzzles
Reading nonfiction books all about prehistoric times
Playing with our classroom dinosaur figures
Piecing together a giant dino puzzle scene.

We ❤️ Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems. On E Day we read a bunch of books from the series and made puppets of the two silly main characters!
If you’re looking for some fun and funny books to check out of your local library this summer, look no further than anything by Mo Willems!

We read the book, This is My Fort, and then we worked in groups to build forts around the room. I build forts with classes every year because there is so much value in the collaboration, creative, and problem solving skills needed for the task!

For a lot of the same reasons fort-building is a worthwhile activity, so is playing games! Today we tried a bunch of games in groups, and we will continue playing them in our spare time through the end of the school year.
