Greetings families! We’ve been hard at work this week. We are reading up a storm, adding and decomposing numbers, and revising and editing our writing.
And did you hear? We even saw a double rainbow! (While we were reading a weather book, no less!)

On Thursday, we each had a turn to celebrate our writing by coming to the smartboard and reading our piece aloud. Most kids are writing 2-3 sentences on the same topic! I can’t believe how much progress they have made since September; you should be so proud!

Today was pancake day- hooray! Check your child’s folder for the recipe we used and save it in case you’d like to try it at your house!

Ask your child how the main character in the book, Pancakes for Breakfast, got all her ingredients. Hint: it wasn’t from the grocery store like ours!

Finally, we had to say goodbye to our wonderful student teacher today. Mrs Albright is such a caring, dedicated teacher and having her as a part of our learning community was a treat. The kids presented her with handmade cards and gifts, including her very own window bird feeder just like ours. Thanks to everyone who contributed to make it extra special! We will miss her!
