Hello, kindergarten families! Hope you’re all staying warm and dry this snowy week. In our cozy classroom we have enjoyed watching the snow… keep reading to see what we learned about real snowflakes on Snow Day!

The kids did a fantastic job on their mid-year testing. I was impressed at their patience and focus even when faced with extra challenging test items.

We had plenty of time for new learning this week as well! We began blending and reading words in earnest, and we are taking a whirl-wind tour through all the capital letter handwriting strokes (2 per day!)

Welcome, Genesis!

We welcomed a 2nd new student - hooray! ⭐️ Welcome, Genesis! ⭐️ We now have 20 kids in our class. Additionally, Mrs Albright returned to complete the first half of her student teaching with us. She will be part of our learning community until March 7. We are so happy she is here!

In this center game, students roll a dice to make 10. (Bonus- they have to use pinchers to collect jewels, which helps with fine motor.)
